Studio Guesthouse
There are three bunk-style guest rooms at mason hill clay studio; $6o/night/per guest. Perfect for writing or quiet contemplation. A full shared kitchen and bath with shower. For retreat information or private pottery lessons, visit the learn pottery page.

Directed pottery retreats
Stay in our studio guest house for a weekend or week of directed clay instruction. You choose how much instruction you will receive.
Group or private instruction
Private or double room (there are four guest rooms)
Small group (8 participant limit during group retreat events) or individual instruction
Daily access to studio
Shared kitchen and bathroom in shared guest house.
Walking trails
Spring fed plunge pool during summer months
You must commit to one 2hr teaching session, which includes an introduction to the studio (closer to three hours). If you are a beginner, two or more focused instruction sessions are recommend. Instruction depends on your level and interest. Both wheel throwing and hand building are available. There are 6 wheels, one slab roller and ample work space in the studio.
Clay and glazes are supplied but are a separate charge: $40/50 lbs. Firing is charged by the kiln load, generally $65/firing, but negotiable if you have less than a kiln load to fire. Shipping is separate and determined at a later date.
We fire to cone 5-6 and use Sheffield T-360, 4D clay bodies but are willing to discuss using the clay body of your choice.
A couple important things to know about our place:
Two friendly, lively dogs and four cats live on the property.
The shared kitchen is available for use. You are responsible for your meals unless otherwise planned, such as during workshop
weekends or weeklong retreats.
Bedding and towels are supplied
We are located in the beautiful Southwestern Vermont hills.

Bennington Museum
Jiminy Peak Ski area is 30 minutes
$125/2hr teaching session for individuals
$350 for weekend retreat per guest (there must be a minimum of 6 guests for weekend retreats to run).
For those with knowledge of clay who want to use the studio as a change of scenery, we can discuss multiple day accommodations and use.
